Is anyone else headed up to Tactical Rifle in Custer, WA this coming weekend?

It'll be my first time with this particular range/league, but it looks just like USPSA but with rifles. A Youtube search of "USTACRA" or "Custer Tactical Rifle" gives a good preview of what to expect.

To shoot with them, you need to have a safety check with match director John R. (needs to be scheduled in advance) or have competitive shooting experience and clear it with him (http://www.custersportsmensclub.com/tactical3gun.html)

Will report back with pictures and videos of course. I'm very excited to try this match out, it'll be a little different from the "Practical Rifle" matches down at the Tri-County Gun Club in Sherwood, OR, and the weekly rifle league shoots at Wade's.

i know SBRs are generally verboten in WA, but is there an exception for training events?

I was up there today shooting on the front ranges, and heard them blasting away in the back. I had other stuff I had to do (my kid's birthday) or else I would have checked it out.

It's a pretty good fun match, the fun levels are about quadruple what you'd find at an IDPA match, hahaha

I almost don't want to promote it, because I don't want too many people to show up, hahaha.

Anyway, if you are interested in driving almost to the Canadian border for half a day of shooting, here is the info on the league/club. You need to call the match director and get a safety check conducted, or get this requirement waived based on your competitive shooting experience/background.

And I've got my thoughts and other videos by other shooters available here

That looks like fun. How often do they use the scattergun? I don't have one currently, but have been looking for a reason to get one....

Also, what kind of round count do you typically go through?

No scatterguns... yet? John R, the match director had mentioned that he might go multigun in the future at my safety check, but there was no other mention.

Went through 200 rounds of 5.56, and there was a $20 match fee.

Some people ran .22 conversions, which is both a good idea (save $) and bad idea (a few long range shots, and you're not getting experience with full power rounds) at the same time.
