They are up on bravocompany's sight. Good luck.

why do these always come up for sale after I just spent my money on something else?
LOL

Those look good. But the LAST thing I need is another upper half. :p

Looks like I may need to let go of one of my 16" midlengths for one of these. I would prefer the longer rail option on a few.

Of course I need another upper like a need a new hole in my head.

From what I understand offerings with 12" guards are coming

My situation exactly. I can't afford the ammo to wear out the uppers I have already in this lifetime!

Darn it, I just built up a BCM/Sabre barreled 14.5" middy, for a bit more coin than these. If I would have known these were coming out so soon, I would have waited. I was under the impression the 16" LW middy's were coming first, and these later in the summer. Oh well, life goes on.

Awwwwwwwww man... still waiting on the 14.5" LW Middy... but this is a GREAT sign that they'll be here this summer. :D

Does the 14.5" barrel with a mid-length gas system function that well? I was looking at the BCM site and they say if you are not shooting mil-spec 5.56 ammo than you probably need a reg. weight buffer. Anyone have a 14.5 with a mid system. I was wondering if they are finiky.

14.5" CMMG Middy here. Runs fine on weaker .223 (wolf, et al) & proper 5.56 NATO loads (xm193, et al).

Initially I had a couple extraction problems with wolf, but added the O-ring to the BCM BCG and haven't had a problem since.

Currently running an H buffer. If I had problems I could try different buffers.

Yes, please! JFreuler's setup (https://www.m4carbine.net/showpost.php?p=584588&postcount=111) is inspiration for my next build.

Mine is a Sabre 14.5" mid, with BCM BCG, and H buffer. I have only fired PMC .223's through it so far, and it has been 100%. Very soft shooter!

I'm waiting for a BCM 6.8 middy or 6.8 Kino. One of those dream uppers. May end up having to get a custom built upper to make this happen.

I don't care what position I'm in, but when a 14.5" pencil middy comes out I am buying one :D

A shooting buddy of mine has run ~1,000 rounds of Wolf and Brown Bear through his CMMG 14.5" LW Middy (with a standard weight buffer) with no issues to date.

Sorry but I could care less for a 14.5" middy. Either I would have to permanently attach a muzzle device or SBR a lower. Both is a pain in the ass and if I'd go the sbr route I surely wouldn't do it for a 14.5" upper.

Centurion Arms has them. See this thread (https://www.m4carbine.net/showthread.php?t=42471).

I simply ordered mine with a permanent muzzle device. I didn't feel any pain in my ass. The Omega 9 was to go on it anyway, and I don't take off my muzzle device monthly, like some folks do. I like it.

I'll rather stick with my 16" uppers...1.5" more in length doesn't have any drawbacks for me while the 14.5" has a few.

Some users work in and out of vehicles. Every bit of length (and lack thereof) actually makes a noticeable difference. Different strokes for different folks.

Now all I have to do is sit back and wait for a 14.5" with an RIS II.

That's what she said!!

Sorry, couldn't resist...:D

I actually just snagged one for myself tonight, right after I got the (very) long awaited email. I ordered the one with the FDE Lite rail. I've always wanted to get one of the FDE DD rails for an upper, and it's convenient that it's already on this one. I also got the NFA version. Although I've got 3 SBR'd lowers, it'll just be an SBR temporarily until I figure out if I want to have either the surefire MB or FH perm attached.

Can't wait for the Big Brown Truck to come in about 1 week from now!!!

-Paul

Ah ha, nice. I didn't even smell that coming, when typing it. I must be getting old! Congrats on the new upper, I am sure you will love it!

You and me both! Hell, that's the first time in almost a decade I think that I've actually spotted a potential and legitimate "That's what she said!" joke, while abiding by the official "That's what she said!" ROE's and guidelines, and actually pulled it off in a timely manner, so I'm pretty darn proud of myself!:p

I'm actually patting myself on the back right now in celebration as I type with one hand:D

Is it confirmed that they will be making a 14.5" mid-length lightweight upper?

Based on Paul's comments here and TOS, expected availability is Summer 2010. :)

I'm hoping he offers the 14.5" lightweight midlength with the Troy TRX Extreme Battlerail.

I'd definitely set mine up with a 9'' troy extreme.
