Anyone running this holster? Looks like Blade-Tech's take on Raven Concealment holsters.

Looks more like their take on a traditional leather pancake holster than anything to do with Raven.

What is a Raven Phantom if not a plastic pancake?

FWIW, I gave the Raven Phantom a shot. It got sold here not long after and went back to leather.

The Phantom chafed and pinched me something fierce when worn IWB and when worn on the belt sucks in the concealment department when compared to this:

I tried on one for the J-frame briefly at the SHOT Show and it seemed like a pretty nice rig.

They sent me one for the Glock 17 before SHOT. It carries very nice, though I'm not the hugest fan of the FBI cant, I can get over it. I wore it while driving from Las Vegas to northern AZ for a class with absolutely no discomfort at all. The thing that excited me the most about this holster were the belt loops. They are made out of the same material as their IWB soft loops. However, they are set up to accept any belt from 1.25"-1.75" WITHOUT ADJUSTMENT. Simply shove your belt through the loops and you're set. I dont have a 1.25" belt to try with it, but the various 1.5"-1.75" belts I have have not resulted in any destablizing of the holster when worn.

The only complaint I have about the holster is the FBI cant. If they offered it in a neutral cant, and with lights attached, I think that Bladetech could reclaim alot of the market that they lost to Raven Concealment, which IIRC the only downside to those holsters have been kydex belt loops breaking. The Eclipse eliminates this possibility.

My Raven Phantom should be delivered soon, so I will be able to compare them face to face more.

Interesting..thanks for the reply. Not sure if its worth the $$ just to try it out. But I think I will go ahead and order one. I've been wondering how long it would take for the mainstream holster makers to try to compete with Raven with a closer fitting kydex holster.

Well this is an old thread, but wondering if anyone else has used one?

I bought the belt loop OWB Eclipse for my M&P9. ($54 from Midway)

I really cant give it much of a review because its the first holster ive ever owned.
Im relatively thin and its most comfortable at the 4'Oclock position, retention is very good, and seems to hold close to the body (again not much to compare it to)
I use it with a 1.5" Uncle Mikes Instructors belt, and its a snug fit, not sure if a 1.75" belt would work.

I bought it for range use and to wear for classes

Damn, I really like the looks of that and they list no option for the HK45 or 45C.
