JonnyVain, that bipod looks like either landing gear, or robot legs. I'm not sure which it resembles more.

Yeah I half expected it to start walking around like a Mechwarrior.

It's not much different than the VLTOR one

That's 1st thing I noticed too. And his lack of tattoos for sleeves.

Setting all silliness aside, looking at the two designs strictly from an engineering aspect, the AR mount looks like it would be less likely to break since you have two points of contact rather than just the one for the MP5.

Now back to the silliness! :p Mall ninjas everywhere are drooling for one...that will fit their Hi-point! :D

Especially less awesome due to a lack of a visible BCG. That bothers me more than the pod and rails everywhere for some reason.

LOL. You're right. The CH is forward and that's as far as my investigation went. I'll attibute my annoyance to bad staging prior to photograping and my poor observation.

The AR version is clearly superior because it has two-points of contact for the pistol, while the HK only has one.

COME ON FELLAS!!! Didnt someone on this forum serve in the 1st Attachment Force Ranger 10182nd airborne division ?!?! They came up with this concept for a one man breech. Blow the door off, enter, don't go left or right, go straight ahead and use the SWIVEL on the Glock on the MP5 version to kill the guys on your flanks!! That's why the MP5 version is vastly superior! You have more than one direction of fire!!! AWESOME

The Vltor one can fold up out of the way, not straight back against the side rails. I don't think build quality difference has to be mentioned, as I don't believe you'd debate that at all:)

ETA: I posted the picture for the magwell grip....

I mean, talk about high bore to grip on all their stuff...

????

I suspect the VLTOR is better quality build and most of the MAKO/CAA stuff is stupid stuff but the manufacturing quality is not bad on it.

But the designs are similar. Rail mounted bipod legs in both cases. The reason that you say the VLTOR "can fold up out of the way" when in reality it is just folding back against the rail, is that there is a slight crook in the top of the leg. But otherwise the designs are the same idea and I don't think that the bipod legs are any sort of "tactical awesomeness" like the Glock holder accessory is. Knock-offs of good products are just that, cheap knock-offs.

I will be impressed when they figure out how to mount an AR15 under an AR15.

One Man Breach!!! Awesome. They must have the same SOP's as the set from "Hurt Locker".

I bet the balance is amazing! :D

Seriously though, I had a guy at a recent gunshow ask if I wanted to buy his upper that was setup this way. He had an unmarked 16" upper, surface rust on barrel, 1x9 twist, no BCG, with this Mako grip mounted to the rail system and a Glock 19 attached to that. Wanted $1800 if I remember correctly. I passed.

On an NFA note, does this qualify as an SBR or AOW since it is essentially a pistol with a stock attached?

I agree blackknight. When they were clearing that building in Hurt Locker it kinda made me cringe. At least according to my 11Bravo training

or the part where they each take there own alleyway alone

Gah.

I do like the part where they find the IED stuffed kid. Only bc most people really dont have a clue about this war and that makes it as real as can be for them. "(them)why would the make this movie but then do something like stuff a bomb thingy in a kids body?" "(you)Bc thats what they really do." "(them):eek::eek::eek:"

This pic may be old, but have you seen the cover of the latest Guns & Weapons for Special Weapons SWAT Nerds magazine? It features some ludicrously overburdened Nuclear Class AR Widget Supercarrier with a grenade launcher mounted so low and far forward that the operatormodel could barely reach the grip with his support hand.

All it needed was a hydraulic suspension so he could raise and lower it with a switch, and a $5000 airbrushed paint job with a Boris Vallejo fantasy scene on it. Well, they still would have had room for a welded chain pistol grip and some crushed velvet dingleballs too. :D

I literally laughed out loud as I passed it on the way to the register.

That is a waste anyways. Most people can do that without affixing the weapons together... its call strength, get some.

I wouldn't take that picture serious either because of his boots. If he was wearing flip flops it would be. :)
