Can you folks tell me what the main tube size is on the Surefire 6P? Thier website only mentions the bezel size (1.25"), which I believe is where the lens is mounted. What say you? Thanks...

1" - And tolerances are held very very close to 1". I measured six of the 6P's I have here with a new set of Starret calipers and they were all within .0004"

What is the difference between the 6p and 6pd?

I think the 6PD has the pointy (lack of a better term) bezel. As in 6P defender. Similar to the E2D defender. No difference in output.

The 6P defender also comes stock with a Z59 clicky tailcap, which for most of the users here, is not as desirable as the standard momentary tailcap.
