Also, gotta love the comment second from the top from Maryia, and the -81 rating.
Now I guess I know why my Grandpa used to say "Madder'n a herd of angry hippos" when I was a kid. This whole time, I thought he was talking about the church bingo ladies!
Hippos are one of the most dangerous animals on the planet. They'll attack a human without a thought.
ETA: Timewarp....!

Apparently "nature lovers" believe that crocodiles are fish and that violence in nature is sad and some kind of extension of evil conservative corruption of animals.
I want to see the picture of the hippos and crocs smoking pot together, or maybe the picture of the hippo capping the croc with a .45.

In 1986, when I was in Kenya staying at Governors Camp, there were Hippos everywhere. It was pretty scary. They can snap a human in half with their huge mouths.
I don't know if the stats changed, but hippos actually account for the most human deaths in Africa.
I've seen that pic before, and now that I think about it, it must be a young croc because an older more experienced one would "know" not to go into a hippo convention.

Saw a NG special where some Crocagators attacked and ate a baby hippo. The Croc was not out for stroll.

Awesome pics!
So many people think of hippos as those gleefully dumb things wearing ballerina tutus in Fantasia. They're really mean, cantankerous old bastards. Read Capstick's "Death in the Long Grass" for some really hair-raising hippo stories.
Very educational. I was previously unaware that crocodiles were bottom feeding herbivorous fish.
