I RARELY post pics of any of my firearms, but was trying something a little different and am not sure what to do next. One of my beaters:

Terrible yellow hue from iPhone. Looks a lot more natural in person. Should I dust over it with something darker or maybe add some mesh patterning? Maybe just leave it. Don't ask paint advice, normally... but I've never used this color/pattern combo. Thoughts?

I don't know, you might consider adding some smaller darker and lighter vertical splotches to the pattern. If you spray them from a stencil you should get some "frosting" with the lighter and darker colors that will soften the pattern.

Thanks! Can you define "vertical splotches" for me?

An irregularly shaped spot, to match the existing pattern they should probably be narrow and tapered at the ends.

How about posting this in the correct area?
