Took My Nine year old Out to shoot a Glennfield Model 60 22LR It took me a year to get it together ,But she shot very well .:D Also she shot My SigP230 380,and I was teaching her how to Line up the iron sights ,,Next the M4 LOL

Congrats!

I took my boy out today. I was really testing some new loads and a new build, as well as trying the M&P9 with Apex upgrades, but my 7 year old came with and we brought his Cricket single shot 22. This was his first time shooting with that rifle, and his first time to shoot all by himself. He has come twice before when he was 5 (and almost 5) and got to pull the trigger on my 10/22 but this was the first real time. I showed him the safety rules, how the gun worked, and I handed him the rounds one at a time. He did everything and was able to get most of the shots on an 8.5x11 piece of paper, with many near the center. He was also very careful in handling the rifle with the safety rules. I share your pride!

Outstanding!I felt bad I drilled her on the weapon(BRM style) ,the safety rules I even made her learn each part of the rifle,after two weeks she informed me "It was time" and WOW!!!she took to well
A lot is the Boys in School all Know I was in the Army ,But didn't think She knew anything about Guns Much less Own one and Now she is like the Gun Chick in her class ,she is beaming to tell them .So the Boys don't mess with her:D:D:D:D:D:D

the 380 freaked her out just a Bit But she was all grins:D:.Now she wants a scope to put on it .:eek:Next a Bi-pod then something bigger what have I done

That's awesome, I wish my dad would of took me shooting at that age! She's a lucky girl haha. Now you got a shooting partner :) Next thing ya know she'll be bugging you to take her again.

My boys are still too young. I am working on safety first at home with them before any live fire. I'll post some pics in a few years.
