K guys, I want to make this thread a discussion and announcement for Gary Marbuts Precision Rifle Match's this year.

If you've never been then its a good opportunity to get off the square range and do some field shooting. It's a challenging copurse with two classes of shooters. I reccomend starting with the hunter class your first time to get a feel for the course. I didnt, and scored and 8 out of 60.:a17:

I learned a lot and hope to be able to apply it this year.

I hope to meet and shoot with some of you at these things, it's always nice to put a face to the name.

For the record, I thing you can totally do this with a 6.8 if you want. there are plenty of guys using custom rifles in fancy calibers who will dominate, but it's no longer a challenge for them and they learn little about their guns. Man up and do it, you wont regret it. Here is the first announcement and link from Gary.

----------

Dear Riflemen,

The first Precision Rifle Match of the season is on for Potomac for Saturday, April 17th.

Unless with other notification, our rifle matches will be scheduled for the third Saturday of each month through October, possibly minus July and August depending on how the fire season evolves.

If you haven't fired one of these matches before, be sure to review the Website for information about times, procedures, etc.

Although we haven't maxed out attendance at a match yet, it's probably still prudent for me to take preregistration for guaranteed slots in the match, if you are certain you'll be there. If you are sure you will attend and want a slot, shoot me an email with your name, town you come from, and the class (Precision/Hunter) you wish to shoot.

See you then ...
