first sbr

just ordered a factory built bushmaster 11.5 heavy barrel sbr now i just have to wait for all the paperwork. the suspense is killin me:D

any opinions on if this is a good rifle or not? price was 900 plus the 200 tax stamp

For SBRs Bushmaster 11.5"s typically run pretty well. That's a pretty good price.

If it were me. I tear it down and reassemble it, change a few small parts, stake the carrier key and ream the chamber as I've seen many things that they do wrong and improperly assemble. But that's just me.

If you don't have the means to do that send it back to Bushamster if it doesn't run well for you.
