Took a buddy of mine who's a state LEO with me to help sight in his Arsenal Inc. SLR-106FR and SLR-105A1 for this coming Vicker's Tactical AK class.

Everything performed flawlessly and the weather was beautiful. Great time today.

Some pics:

I brought out my SLR-105A1 and had no real problem hitting a 6" piece of steel at 100 yards off hand with 1976 era 7N6.

Plum goodness....... :D

The 300 yard range. The very first set of steel is for handgun calibers and is 30 yards out. The next set of steel is 100 yards, then 200 yards, and finally 300 yards. The itty-bitty circles on the left at 100 yards is what I was primarily going after.

That's what I think AKs should be. Simple. Therein lies their beauty.

BTW, which range is that?

Thanks Dport.

That's Cavalier's 300 yard range. I wanted to use the dedicated 100 yard range to help him sight in but I forgot it was High Power day so the 100 yard was full up. Sighted in at 25 yards and had no issues at 100 or 200 with appropriate hold over.

I had a feeling it was Cavalier.

That reminds me. I got to get to the range. I haven't been in quite a while.

That's my favorite spot at Cavalier.

If my new job doesn't happen in the next month I'll become a member.

I love that range.

We'd be glad to have you Dinger!

This is the hi-rez pic of the range. The targets circled in blue are the 100 yard itty-bitty's, about 6" steel circles.

I do love a 105.

Is that a peep sight on the 106?

Looks like fun!

I haven't been bit by the AK bug yet.... but I am hoping it happens.

Sure is, a Mojo peep. I think it could be a little sturdier, it's not nearly as "bulletproof" as the standard AK sight, but for guys used to a peep it's not too bad.

I'm not changing mine over, that's for sure.
