I got a call today from GGI, which is to say, I called them (not that they don't call, but rather that I call all too frequently. They are such nice people!).

Long story short, my P226 (357) is finished and the test-groups had been shot, etc. etc.

At 25 yards, it produced a 5-shot group of 1.17" CTC firing it from a sand-bag in crappy weather with wind, rain, and the like using Speer Gold Dot ammunition (TX DPS loading #54234).

*Also of note, the FBI testing using a 4" SAAMI test-barrel at 25 yards and shooting 10-shot groups using Speer Gold Dot (load# 53918) produced an average 10-shot group size of 1.18" CTC.

So...? Was there a question or anything in this? Or just a statement?

No question, just information given. I see plenty "how accurate...?" questions posted, so I figured I would make a contribution instead of ask for one :D

Oh, right on. Well the Sig's are definitely great pistols.

.357 seems to be one of the more inherently accurate rounds.

What work did you have done on the gun?

Also, what sights are on the gun?

QPQ'ed everything
Combat Takedown lever installed
Rough spots on trigger/sear cleaned up
19# mainspring and titanium FP block with reduced-weight FP block spring
Trijicon #8/#8 green night sights installed (replacing their OEM Meprolite counterparts)
GGI QPQ'ed Stainless Guiderod installed

Why replace the Mepro sights?

My P226 357 is definately accurate. The DAK trigger requires a bit more effort to shoot tiny group that my old DA/SA but the gun is capable.

Just a little bragging on his gun.

Gotta love the 226. Great accuracy, reliable and soft shooting. In my top 3 pistols ever.
