From what I understand this Hornady soft point is an excellent .308 cartridge as far as terminal ballistics are concerned.
Is this round suitable for semi auto rifles like the new LMT .308 ?

Since I plan to get the LMT .308, I want to start accumulating some stock.
I plan to order some Federal ball and need recommendations on types and brands of defensive rounds I should be looking at.
