I spoke with Bill Geissele the other day and he recommended using Mobil 28 for his triggers. In fact, that's what he includes when he ships his triggers, a (very small) vial of Mobil 28.

I went to purchase some today as extra and it seems it can only be bought in large quantities, as it's an aviation grease. In addition, the smallest volume it comes in is a 13.7oz tube for grease guns.

That said, is there anything else out there that works just as well? I'm inclined to believe Bill, I'm just curious is there's anything else meant specifically for firearms that doesn't require purchasing an mechanic's grease gun :)

Just call GA and buy some extra vials. They're only lik 50 cents each and I mean how often do you grease your trigger?

Looks like good grease. PAO base oil, clay thickener.

Here it is for $20 a tube -

If you have a general aviation airport close by that has service facilities you can probably get them to sell you an ounce or so for a couple of bucks.

Ironically I'm a pilot, so I should probably just head over to the airport and talk to some AMTs. I just hate having to explain "Oh, it's for a rifle." lol

Might as well mess with them. Take a sample cup from a doctors office. "Can you just put a couple of squirts in here?"
