Whats the best .22 long rifle round. I want it to feed a variety of guns such as auto hand guns like Ruger .22, Henry Survival Rifle, .22 revovlers, .22 bolt actions, and .22 auto rifles. Whats the best most durble round in .22? Where is the best place to buy a large quantity? Are there any laws regulating the ammount of ammo that you can own?

Have you tried Wal-Mart?

IIRC there are currently no Federal laws that limit how much ammunition one can own. What state are you in?

Walmart has 550rd value boxes for $15-$20 depending on what memo your local Walmart got. Generally you can only buy 5 boxes per trip. Take a friend and you can get 10k+ rounds in two trips for about $400ish or less.

Wal-Mart is what I have done.

I swing by and grab 3-5 boxes every once in a while.

After doing that for a couple years now, I have a few 20mm ammo cans full of 550 packs.

And I have a couple cases of Eley for matches.
