some time ago, i ran into a post that recommended that all ar-15 users should buy or obtain a manual (not military) .as i recall,it was almost pocket size. the booklet covered all aspects of ar-15 use and maintenance. can any one help me with this? thank you for your help........hill 300

The only pocket sized one I have ever seen is TM 9-1005-319-23M. Cheaper than Dirt sells them as did Quality Parts at one time. You can download it from the internet. You may also look for the USMC Rifle Marksmanship Manual, MCRP 3-01A, which in my opinion presents information much better than the army's FM 3-22-9 Army Rifle Marksmanship. Boith of these can be downloaded too.

thank you for you reply. however, this book was a commercial undertaking.i looked for it on amazon and as i recall,it was spiral bound and pocket size. hill 300
