Both grips fit my hand great. They both have storage compartments. Tango Down comes with a waterproof storage for batteries only, whereas the MOE's storage is more adaptable but requires more parts be purchased for waterproof storage. I also plan on using a Magpul Enhanced trigger guard, and I'm not sure if the forward lip on the Tango Down will work with it.

Does anyone have experience with these?

I have the TD grip and love it, fits my hands perfect and its not too rough, I dont know for sure if the enhanced trigger guard will work but Im fairly certain it could. For my use with my AR I dont think I would need the inserts for the MOE such as another bolt and firing pin, batteries are some of the only things I might need, just depends on what you use your weapon for.

I have the Tango Down grip and Magpul enhanced trigger gaurd. They both fit no problem. I like the TD grip a bit better than the MOE or MAID.

The TangoDown grip fits my hand much better. I have seen them used with a Magpul trigger guard without problems too.

great! Sounds like I'll have to go back and compare the two closer then. Thank you!

The timing of your question is funny - as I just recently swapped the TD grip for the MIAD after getting some trigger time with an AR that had the latter. First, there should be no interference issue with the TD grip with the Magpul trigger guard. As for ergonomics, when shooting with gloves the TD grip feels great - little to no fatigue, but since I am no door kicker - I shoot without gloves majority of the time, I find the MOE/MIAD feels just slightly better for my tastes.

I'm TD all the way. But I'm may try out the Ergo deluxe for my SPR set-up.

I have to shave the grip 'tongue' a bit for a better fit the magpul MOE trigger guard.

I've mounted the TD on guns with the Magpul metal triggerguard and had it fit fine, if tight. Since the plastic triggerguard is actually a little deeper recessed there should be even less of an issue.

I used the TD for years, but I don't think I have a carbine left with one on it as they've all been switched over to the MOE (or a MIAD with MOE-sized panels from before there was a MOE). I REALLY wish that Magpul would incorporate a gapper into the MOE grip. I have no use for their triggerguards (metal one costs too much, plastic one doesn't actually fill the gap enough) and would prefer to have an all-in-one solution like the TD. I just prefer the way the MOE situates my hand relative to the trigger.

Thank you for all the replies. I tested the Magpul and Tango Down again yesterday, and it was a VERY close call as expected. Both grips felt great (the MOE fit slightly better

I went with the Tango Down for the following reasons:
I liked the form-fitting look of it to the gun.
The trigger guard lip is much more comfortable on the middle finger than those without.
Everything but the thumb area felt perfect to me. This area felt more supportive on the MOE.
The built in, easily accessed rattle-free water-proof battery storage was the kicker. It was much easier to open and close and didn't require me buying extras, although the storage compartment is less flexible than Magpuls. I didn't like how Magpul's compartment dropped out entirely.

It pretty much came down to this: Better thumb support (Magpul) vs better finger support (TD). Both have great support in both areas, but each fit a little different.

Either way, I'm glad I got these over the rubber ones because the fit is so much better and more durable.
