So, I am saving money for Noveske 16" Light Recce, LO-PRO. But i looked at their basic model. Only different is hand guard and price dropped Almost $700.

So, I am paying more for quad rail on this?

No, it is not just the handguard. With the low pro you are also getting the forged VLTOR MUR upper, low pofile gas block, and folding front sight.

Both options are great however. If you prefer, maybe get the basic, and add rails of your choosing at a later time.

they also integrate an anti rotational locking system on the MUR and SWS rail

i love noveske, and their handguards are sweet... but you DO pay a hell of a lot for them. you can get almost the same handguard from SWS http://superiorweaponssystems.com/

they're not the exact guard, as he makes those special for noveske- but the ones he sells to everyone are the ones that John Noveske sampled when he was looking for his handguard supplier. i still haven't used one on a personal build, but the few i've gotten my hands on have made me a believer. they're one of the, if not THE, strongest rails on the market.

I'll be using a Noveske bbl and MUR upper for my SPR build and thinking of using a La Rue rail, but now I am debating using a SWS rail to make the rifle as close to Noveske as I can while still having the pleasure of building it myself.

How do people think the SWS rail compares to the LaRue?

On my latest build I priced out the Noveske Lo pro upper and what it would cost to build the upper using a Noveske barrel and other top brand parts. It ended up being cheaper to buy the upper complete from Noveske.
I live in Connecticut and we have to have a Compensator or Brake pinned and welded on our barrels.
Noveske gives a price break if you order the Muzzle device with the upper and Pins and welds it for you.
If I remember it all ran the cost of the upper listed on their web site.
The only thing I changed on mine is the Extractor spring and Bumper.
Noveske uses a heavy spring, Blue bumper and a "O" ring on their set up.
I replaced that with a Bravo Company Heavy Spring with a Black Bumper.
Their spring set up give so much extractor tension that there was some "Brass Smearing" on the Bolt face and Extractorfrom when they test fired it.
I did this, swabbed out the Barrel with some Breakfree, Gave the Bolt? carrier a good Coating of Breakfree LP and the the top end was done.
