I recently got an SKD/Eagle All MOLLE chest rig and while setting it up, I wasn't too happy with the way it rode. I'm a small guy, 5'7", 140lbs. and had the straps maxed out. The rig was sitting too low for my liking, it interferred with accessing my belt. I prefer to have it ride up around my ribs.
I already had some custom things being made by a guy in Australia so I asked him about making these straps. He was game and we also came up with a few mods for the straps.
I addition to shortening the strap I asked him to add a 5" section of grip material. This was done to help the stock stay put against the strap. The grip panel is sewn as a tube and is held in place by a section of velcro on the strap. Gany also added the airmesh to the underside of the strap. It's a nice touch and might be cooler than if it were just Cordura. The padding he used is very comfortable and doesn't feel too different from the padding Eagle used. However the padding is a little less stiff and in turn seems more comfortable and allows the strap to flex more.
Construction is amazing, stitching is clean and there are no flaws in his work. I can't see anything going wrong with these straps.
I have a bunch of other things from made by him that I will be posting soon.
OK, enough words:
