I owned and carried one for a while.

It was a good little weapon. The DA trigger left much to be desired, but I usually carried it cocked and locked anyway.

It was fairly rugged, very reliable, and pretty easy to make good shots with.

In general the USPs are durable, reliable handguns. They are a viable option, but my advice is to try and get some trigger time with one before you buy one to make sure that it fits you properly and that you can shoot it well.

Get the LEM trigger option. I like the HK compact and wish I wouldn't have sold mine.

I have one - like it a lot. My 2nd fav gun :)

I just got my slide back yesterday - I had sent it off to be hard chromed :)

I've had a USPc 9mm with LEM that I sold when I bought a USPc 45 with LEM that I currently carry off-duty. Very reliable, very expensive, hard to get parts for, extremely accurate.

I've got a USP-C .45 stainless. I LOVE the gun. The fit and finish is leaps and bounds beyond my Glocks, the grip angle is better, slide release, etc...the list goes on. My only complaint is that at 6'0", 160 pounds, you must dress around the gun in order to hide it (in a Milt Sparks VMII). I normally wear athletic-cut or "fitted" clothing, and it's large enough to be difficult to hide under even a button up shirt.

If you're a bigger guy than me, buy it with confidence. Personally, I'll probably be selling mine in the near future in favor of something more concealable.

Mine is a .45, and my opinions about it pretty much mirror those of John_Wayne777.

Note that if you get the LEM option, you will be giving up the capability of cocked-and-locked carry.

This is an Excellent Choice in the .45 ACP Compact Family!

I have one in .45 acp. It's a fantastic weapon and I've been very pleased with it. The standard Double action pull does leave a lot (everything) to be desired.

Last week I ordered in an LEM conversion kit from CDNN and installed it. I set it up so it would have the 5.5 pound trigger pull and it consistently does according to my RCBS trigger scale. The LEM is very impressive in my opinion, though I've not tried it in it's standard pull weight.

I just need a set of Heinie slant pro/straight eights for it and I'm set.
