How can I attach a tactical light without a rail? Do they make a gas tube cover that has a rail only on the left side?

What if any handguards are you runnin now?

I've seen small rail sections bolted to plastic handguards.

you can bolt a 5-slot rail piece to your plastic handguards wherever you want the light.. put the piece on, mark the holes, drill the holes, get some 3/4" screws and nuts from the hardware store and bolt it on. use loctite.
