I have seen several pics of rifles with Surefire E2E/E2D flashlights mounted to the rail of an AR.
I would like to know who makes the mount used to put an E2E/E2D on a Mil Std. rail???
I THINK I remember the Daniel Defense, VLTOR and most others are for larger, 1" diameter lights.
The E2E/E2D series lights have approx. .791" diameter bodies.
WHO makes a mount that will mount an E2E/E2D light to a Mil Std. rail???
Are there more than one manufacturer making mounts such as this????
Thanks guys.

Vltor E series mount will fit the SF E2E, that's what their website said.

DD sell a $3.59 sleeve that will let you use their standard mount with the SF E lights.

Sam as usual is 100% correct. Vltor makes a mount for it.

This is M4carbine Mod Yrac with LAV's HK416 at a shoot last year. Notice how Larry was running a Surefire E2E/E2D w/ Vltor mount at the time.

I like the VLTOR a lot, but there is also another one that I like just as much. It is made by SureFire and is called the M78. The best part about this mount is that it allows you to add or remove the flashlight without removing the mount from the rail!

I have both in stock currently so let me know if I can help.

Grant,
Is either one lighter than the other?

Also, HOW do you remove the light from that Surefire mount you just posted? Is there a setscrew or a thumbknob or what?
I'll check your site for the pricing difference as well.
I'll probably be in touch tomorrow, to order a few other things as well... THANKS for posting this other option. Always nice to know of other choices....

I think the VLTOR is a hair lighter.

There is a lever you throw and the mount splits open.
