View Full Version : Threaded barrel for improved accuracy
Just throwin this out there. Aside from the ability to use a suppressor, how much would having the extra 1/2" or 5/8" of threaded barrel on a hand gun improve accuracy? M&P 9 w/ drop in 4.9" threaded storm lake specifically. Would it be silly to use this a primary barrel? I'm not interested in buying the M&P pro to gain that extra barrel length.

Typically shorter barrels are more accurate. This is due to the shorter barrel being stiffer. Longer barrels just give more velocity.
Thanks , I'm still feeling my way through this. :)

Nowhere near as much as taking quality training and practicing what is taught there.

Right! Now, if I could only find a way to delete my original post.

I wouldn't worry about it.
