I'm gonna have to say BCM based on personal experience.

A USGI type M16 carrier will run fine. Colt, BCM, LMT are tops.....

Daniel Defense makes an excellent BCG as well. I have one alongside a BCM and both are well constructed.

I've beaten the living bejeezus out of BCM's and they just keep going and going and going.

Why would you consider a national match BCG? Do you have a precision build or some competition national match AR?

If not, BCM are GTG. I own several.

FWIW, I only use DD or BCM BGCs anymore.

Just that simple …

Not saying others aren't fine, I just don't personally have a need for anything else.

Given your choices, BCM.

Those NM carriers are a gimmick and a waste of money. Y/ M also doesn't release any info on their products (steel type, tests, etc). Gas keys are not staked. If you stake it, Y/M voids your warranty.

BCM on the other hand does everything right on their BCGs.

This should be an incredibly easy decision.

I just got my BCM....and it's very nice. I cannot really compare it to anything other than the Bushy I also have...but in that comparison I can tell you the BCM defiantly wins hands down. You can seriously just look at it and tell by the craftsmanship.

Well you made my decision easier! BCM it is!

I just thought YM was suppose to be top notch as well. Rainier Arms carries their whole line up. They look to be staked too (Rainier probably did it). Anyways I have to go there to get my lower and barrel so I thought I might kill three birds with one stone, I live close by :) That said, I will not be doing that anymore lol.

I will be buying BCM.

Thank you for the input.

BCM as it is better quality and tested per the Military Standard.

I have been really happy with Young National Match. And they make an M16 version.

What constitutes a USGI BCG?

if BCM is an option, BCM is the answer for me. I've owned a Young phosphated m16 BCG, it was not staked coming from Young and Rainier kindly fixed that for me. It was not worth the extra money over the BCMs I've owned in the past.

Has anyone compared the BCM BCG with and w/out the IonBond finish? Easier to clean, smoother running?

It's definitely easier to clean and slicker. It's what I prefer, but you can't go wrong with either one :)
