I'm interested in getting a chest rig but would like to see some different options, there is a pic thread for everything else why not a tac rig thread. If your interested post pics of your rig and brief description, if not for my benefit but for others wanting rig advice. I hope its ok I suggest this, I just didnt want to start another "what rig should I get" thread.

Did you do a search?

Never mind the above -- I see the last two threads have evolved into some childish comments.

Yes I did do a search for rig pic thread, I also read all the threads I could find that said "help me pick a rig".

First you have to upload your image to an online hosting service. I use ImageShack.
Then copy the "URL", I use "Direct" so there's no imbedded clicky crap. Then click on:

and paste in your "URL".

That's it.

What Chest rig might that be?

I'm not sure what the rig in the picture is.

But it looks to be a Molle Plate Carrier with several (many) Tactical Tailor mag shingles attached to it.

This is my current chest rig, but I think I'm moving away from the chest rig entirely. For 99% of my shooting I can do just fine with two spare rifle mags and a sigle spare pistol mag all mounted on my pants belt.

I know some will disagree with me here -- but I am a firm beleiver that if you have a rifle rig -- it should have rifle plates in it. Not nec a plate carrier -- but have it as well.

Especially for training -- just to keep Mr Murphy on the sidelines.

My emergency/truck rig which also double as a light weight/low profile rig. Diz made Alleycat, from an idea I came up with.

Eagle plate carrier. Have made a few changes since this pic.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v86/Hawkeye1/Gear/PC1.jpg

Eagle Rhodesian Recon Vest. Had it set up for .308, but no longer have a .308. May set it up as a medum weight plate carrier or a dedicated 6.8 rig. Not sure yet.

My primary training rig which also does duty as my primary hurricane rig.

Eagle belt in an ICE MOLLE pad. (the knife was just tossed in for the pic. It isnt on there.)

I totally agree.....
That's one of the reasons I picked the Callahan, I wanted to have rifle plate to protect the vitals.

Any situation that requires a Rifle/carbine should require rifle protection. It's kinda like this.. if your going up against Tanks... You should have an Anti tank capability, if your going up against Aircraft, then you should have AA capability.. if your going against rifles.... well..... you get the picture.
I like the plate carrier vs. a plate carrier with Soft Armor as a good compromise between armor protection and weight/Mobility. it's a trade of that I have decided on.
If I operated in an IED type environment, then my requirements would change.

This is my rig. I haven't spent much time with it yet because of ammo prices, distance to where I shoot, and I've been waiting on a holster for my G34 w/ light. I am leaning towards adding another shingle to the leg panel. I'm a bit overboard on pistol mags too, I think.

-Eagle duty belt and belt pad
-Eagle triple FB G17 mag pouch
-HSGI Modular drop leg panel. Swapped the fixed hanger for the QD hanger.
-Tactical Tailor single mag shingles (2 for now)
-Eagle single FB M4 mag pouch
-CSM Gear drop pouch
-HSGI universal drop platform w/ Safariland 6280 (MIA at the moment). Swapped the QD hanger for the fixed hanger to raise it up on my hip instead of down on my thigh.
-Eagle double FB G17 mag pouch

I've enjoyed my HSGI Wasatch. I'm running it with Diamondback Tactical level IIIa soft armor inserts behind Ceradyne level III++ multi-hit plates. It's a quality set up, but it does tend to sag in the front a bit.

I'm considering trying out a Spartan II or Centurian.

Anyway here's a few picks from a Tac Carbine/SWAT class that I was fortunate enough to be invited to attend last week.

Its an Ice Tactical belt pad. They are VERY nice, however, Ice has sadly been having some serious delivery issues as of late I am told.

In the time I've spent on this site this evening, I've come to a realization: all my gun and gear pics suck. A lot.
The harness is an SOTech Hellcat Mk 1, the pack is an ATS Cobra pack

Those G-code mag holders look great. Get to use them out on the range or anything yet? Interested to see how they hold up. Can definitely see a use for those.

I've been using the g code single pistol mag holder for work (dectective). It's great. I've used blackhawk, Raven, and no name brand holsters before and the g-code is far superior. It's slick and does not get caught on my clothing when I draw the mag. It's easy to take off and add on for times when I have to kit down. I wish they made the paddle style for their m4 mag holder. Got my single pistol mag holder for about $22 which is MUCH better than the Raven holder.

I used them in a class over this past weekend.

Good overall, not what I would rate as "the best" but good enough for use.
