HI all,
Its been many years since I have owned an AR type rifle. Havent had once since I moved from TX to NJ.
Ive been lurking here for awhile, trying to soak up some knowledge before I purchaced a new rifle. After quite a bit of research, I picked up a new Colt MT6400C.
My stupid question is: what is the little gadget called that closes the gap between the pistol grip and the triggergaurd.....and where do I get one? I KNOW there is such a device, but for the life of me, I cant think of the name of it.
Thanks,
Jeff

Thanks!
I've been racking my brain to figure out the name of that little gadget.
Cheers!

Ah, thank you! I've been looking for a solution to that problem as well. Damn that thing is irritating after only a few dozen rounds.

For what it's worth, a foam earplug jammed in there works pretty well as a temporary measure.

I never knew such a thing existed. I don't get it, it bridges what gap? For the life of me I can't picture what this thing looks like on a rifle. Does anybody have a picture of one installed?

Shoot an AR hard at a course, carry one all day, or just shoot the piss out of your rifle and you'll become intimate with and learn to loath that gap.

Yeah I figured that's what it was after taking one of my rifles out of the safe and checking it. I run my rifles pretty hard both in the
military and my personal ones. Never had a problem with that gap. I dunno, everybodys different.

Maybe you grab the rifle differently than I do, because if I don't address it with at a bare minimum a foam earplug, I'll be close to drawing blood before long.
Some lowers are worse than others though.

I have done all of that, never had it bother me. Whatever makes you happy.

What's going on with your pistol grip there? Is that wood or something?

It's either that I'm a weakling and the gun swims in my hand while I move it, or I simply force my hand higher than some...but it's a problem(easily rectified) for me.

Yeah definately, whatever works for you. I'm just hoping that I'm not gonna become concious of it now and have it start affecting me.
