Apparently BCM has introduced a lightweight upper with a carbine gas system with a .625 gas block.

I like the barrel profile and I understand that they have to order these in batches so there is no customization available but to me it is worthless with the front sight tower and handguard cap. For the work involved in removing them and replacing them I might as well just order another box of parts and assemble it myself.
