Is there a suggested schedule for replacing parts like gas rings, buffer springs, trigger springs, etc?
I'm bumping up against 10,000 rounds in a couple rifles and had to change gas rings. Anything else I need to look at?

at 5k rounds, I'd replace the extractor and ejector springs
the action spring should be a certain length, and the gas rings should be tested to see if they let the bolt drop from the carrier. check out the pictures below, courtesy of Quib

I cover some of those inspections here:

Someone should make a sticky with a detailed parts replacement schedule for hard use guns. I think it would be beneficial to us all to have that information all condensed and readily available.

Glad to see this subject back on the radar. It wasn't nailed down when inquired about a few years ago. A lot of personal opinions but no real TM data, so I ended up making my own replacement schedule. Thanks for the link Quib.
