I am looking for some mid-length Rails to go on the my Calvery Arms AR-15. I want to add my surefire weapons light and a vertical Grip on the bottom of the handguards. Any suggestions.

If you already have a mid-length gas system, I'd go with Larue, and if you're looking to cover up the FSB/gasblock I'd go with Daniel Defense.

I probally did not explain this well I do not want to replace the handguards I just want to add a bottom rail. Does larue and DD have those?

Personally, I wouldn't attach a VFG to the bottom of the handguards, so I can't help you there.

Agreed. The rail that attaches to the bottom of standard hand guards is a half baked solution IMO. Below is a midlength AR of mine using a D.D. 9.0 Lite.

Nothing but praise for Daniel Defense....outstanding product.

If your goal is just a light and grip along the bottom, a 2-piece non-free float rail like the Midwest Industries MCTAR-18 or Surefire M81/85 is a viable option. Much less permanent than the DD or Larue rails, not to mention much cheaper, but also a much better solution than the bolt-on lower rail on standard handguards.

And if you are wanting something that free floats the barrel, then go with a Midwest MCTAR-21 or a Troy 9" rail.
These are the easiest to install of the free float rails.

and here: http://www.midwestindustriesinc.com/ar_2_piece_forearm.htm This one is a little cheaper than the Troy model....

Like mentioned above, I think this is also a good idea....
here's a free float 2 piece rail.. I think you may want the 9" but ya get the idea...

not to dispute these guys suggestions (i just ordered a Troy 9" free float for my middy) but if you are set on just adding a rail to the bottom of your existing guards for a vert grip or light you can get a composite or aluminum one from promag via MidwayUSA that bolts right up with no modifications and is easy to reverse/uninstall. they run like $12 or so.

I am thinking of just getting this. Should work and if not I am just out a few bucks.
