Anyone have experience with these?

How are they?

Is it worth it?

The Aimpoint 3x is better quality than the EOTECH 3x; however, the EOTECH 4x is quite nice.

What about a proper mount for the 4x? Looks like it comes with an ARMS mount of some sort from the factory.

The only magnifier mount I use is the LT649...

I have the 3x Eotech magnifier, but the mount it came with (non flip) is crappy and to be honest, I haven't been bothered getting a new one. I've been looking at the LT670-EO, but like I said, something else always pops up that I want more.

Doc, will the LT649 fit the Eotech 3x?

Where is this Eotech 4x magnifier? I can't find it on their website.

EDIT... Ok I see that it has been discontinued

I just tried a Po-Boy magnifier and took it right off, I hated the way I lost my peripheral vision, I'm not sure if the other magnifiers would have the same effect. See if you can try one or at least look at one mounted on a gun first.

USMCVET,
I bought a Po-Boy Magnifier last week to "maybe" help me sight-in the T-1 (that I plan on buying next month) with my astigmatism.

Do you think the Po-Boy will help sighting-in?

Another question on magnifiers, do they magnify the Red Dot or does a 4MOA Dot still cover 4MOA when looking throught he magnifier?

Thanks,

I've been running the 2nd gen Eotech 3x with the Flip To Side mount. It has been worth every penny. Great picture, easy to use and it holds a zero no matter how often you take it off.

I primarily use it for hunting coyotes and the occasional zombie, and it functions fine.

If he's selling you a fake one for $300, he ain't your friend! ;)

Here's some pics of mine to give you an idea of what a real one looks like. Keep in mine, I just threw these on the first thing I had to hand.

The mount is the standard one and I hate it. I've been looking at the Larue LT670-EO, but don't really like the way it clamps to the very front of the Eo magnifier.

The_Dude, what mount are you running? The standard one or a Larue?

It has a Samson Flip To Side and an ARMS mount. There is enough room under it for a Magpul BUIS.

I had a 4x for while, it is VERY nice glass. The adjustments are on the mount itself, which is a drawback, you need to lock tight the screw in the center of the mount otherwise the magnifier will loose it's zero in relation to the optic. After lock tighting I didn't have any issues with loosing the zero.
