Got a 10.5' SBR w/ Aimpoint for CQB. Now I'm looking to get a mid range 16" rifle w/ mid range scope for 100-300m fun (most between 100-200).

My Parameters:
-Looking for it to be under $500
-Prefer small or no eye relief change w/ magnification
- I like, but an not married to, the 2-8x.

-How does the Nikon 2-8x Monarch stack up?

You could try the Trijicon AccuPoint 1-4x24 with the (BAC) triangle reticle. At 1x power this scope works well for CQB applications. It’s not quite a true 1x optic, like an Aimpoint, but its dam close. At 2x, 3x or 4x you can easily hit targets out to 300 with the triangle reticle. This one won't fit you under $500 limit though. They are around $800+.

Yes, the darn Trijicon TR24R (red triangle) keeps calling my name, but I fear it's out of range.:(

Anyway, I was also looking at these three: Any experiences?
