I just took delivery of my brand new M&P 9 C. It's perfect out of the box. Very nice fit and finish. Going to break it in a little later with 150 rds of Winchester 9mm NATO FMJ. Rebate/warranty paperwork is all filled out and in the mail.

Thanks to Grant for squaring me away with such a fine pistol and the M4C crew who lured me over to the "dark side"...

Now all we have to do is get together for some range time. :D

I'm thinking this would be a welcome addition to our household as well.

Went to the NRA Range last night and ran 300 rds thru this new pistol.

200 rds Winchester 9mm NATO Q4318, WCC 10

100 rds Federal 95 grain JSP XM9RO1, RG 09

I experienced zero stoppages/malfunctions of any kind, and once I got used to the trigger reset/break I was able to shoot it much easier than any Glock.

My only complaint is that I only own the Compact 9 for now, and will be buying the full size version very soon.

S&W has created a fine product here and I'm happy to be a proud M&P owner, albeit a bit late in the game.

If you're of a mind to, take it to Hatfield's Gunsmiffin in Manassas (ask Robb, he told me about them) for a stippling job. The medium-rough does wonders for the grip on mine, yet doesn't gank up any of my shirts.

They did the gun and 7 magazine baseplates for $150, picked it up in a week.

They did two of my Glocks, and did a fine job. I'm going to leave this one stock for the time being.

My better half just got one from the fine folks at VA Arms on Monday and it's great.

She shoots it well, it fits well, and as you noted, the build quality and finish is the high quality we all expect from S&W.

This is now her third M&P (M&P9, M&P15T and now M&P9C) and another winner.

My M&P 9 C has 700 rds thru it now, and the only problem with it is that it gobbles up 9mm with boring reliability, and makes me buy 9mm on a weekly basis.:cool:
