View Full Version : Opinions on Heinie SlantPro QWIK Straight Eight night sights for duty?
I am considering Heinie night sites for a duty HK P30. I have heard great things about them from competition and range shooters but very little feed back from those who use them for duty carry. I am looking for any feed back that you could offer.
My other concern is that I heard that the sights might be taller then the factory sights and not fit in a Blackhawk SERPA holster. Has anyone tried Heinie sights on a P30 with a Blackhawk SERPA holster?
Thanks...
I have the set for my G17 and yes they are taller and do fit into a Serpa (not my choice of holster by the way) I'm partial to the ALS
I plan on getting another set for my 19 soon.

I run them on a G19 and have used many holsters. Like Mark said, they are taller, but I've never had a problem with them being too tall. I also dislike the Serpas. I'm going to throw a pair on my issued 226.
Forgot to add, for duty use I'm going to pick up the Ledge series, there's more hanging out to catch onto something if I ever need to rack the slide one handed.

I have a non-QWIK pair on my XD and like them although the rear slot is a little too narrow for my liking. I've used my XD with a friends Serpa and the sights cleared them just fine.
I just bought a P30 and ordered the QWIK version and am thinking they'll be just right

I have Straight 8 Ledge sights on my duty Glock 34 as well as 3 others. I love them. The rear notch it plenty wide and the front sight is easy to pick up. I've been very happy with them and plan on putting them on all my other pistols.
I use them on both my duty G35 and my G17... They make three different height front sights so you can adjust the POI depending on your duty ammo...

Sorry to bring back a dead thread...
Does anybody have a pic of the Heine's on a P30? I would like to see a pic of the sight picture if possible. I am also interested to see how well the front post sits against the slide if possible.
Thanks for any help.

Thank you! I hope they have fixed the front set screws. It looks like a much better setup than the factory glow in the dark setup:rolleyes:. I need to order a set this weekend.
