View Full Version : Who Made My Upper?
Well I guess it's time to start a thread in our new section (big thanks to the site staff for giving us one).
I've got a surplus M16A1 upper and I can't figure out who made it. I've looked it over and I can't find any forge codes to go by. It has a teardrop forward assist and was refinished black. I got it from gunny's surplus back in December of 08 so who knows where it came from. Anyone have an idea on what I've got?
Pics would help a lot.
I know that GM's Hydromatic division made M16's for the .gov.
So did H&R. Is there any flash left on the back or front of the carry handle?
Brick
The only forging flash is on the inside of the carry handle.
I might be able to take some pics, but I won't be able to do it right away(I need to borrow a camera and learn how to post pics).
If you've got pics but can't figure out how to post them, you can email them to me and I'll host and post.

Check this out. Remember, you can have Colt barrels and a contract upper. I have one that is a Martin Marietta

Templar, I got some picture taken. Would you still want to post them for me?

Sure, send them on.
E-mail sent. Thanks.
I'll see if I can't get them posted today at some point.
