I recently purchased an acog ta31DOC (with the dr.optic) on ebay for what I believe was a pretty good deal. I always lusted after one of these type acogs, but always thought they were out of my price range, until I happened up on this one. I am working on my first AR15 and without any real first hand knowledge of the various ar15 optics, thought that the combination of longer range and short range (dr.optic) ability would be perfect. My first question is, are there any cheap knockoffs of the trijicon acog (although, I think this one would be hard to clone) floating around out there that I should watch out for on this one (I questioned the seller and checked him out as good as you can on ebay)? And does anyone have any opinions or experience with this setup?
Thanks
Kevin

http://www.4scopes.com/acog.htm $1388 but out of stock.

Do you have a Mil.Std. flat top rail on your AR? You better know how it will mount on your AR.

thanks flanker. I have a flat top LMT on the way, so it should attatch without any problems. Am I right? Also, in your opinion would it be better to mount it with something like a larue mount? I like the idea of being able to remove the scope by just flipping the levers to release it as opposed to the screws on the arms mount.

I have a L3EOTech that uses the lever mounting system and it works great. My Trijicon 3.5x35 ACOG TA11F came with the TA51 mount system

And it is working fine just has the big screws.
