I usually don't bother looking for ammo at Walmart but today I stopped by the ammo counter while looking for something else and found it fully stocked for once. I asked for 6 boxes of WWB 9mm and to my surprise the clerk says, "There's no limit anymore, are you sure you only want six?" Apparently they lifted the limit yesterday. Has anybody seen this at other stores?

I take it this is the Fair Lakes Walmart?

I haven't seen ammo worth buying instock at Fairlakes for about a year. Last time I did, I bought 15 boxes of white box.

It is hit or miss on enforcing the limit across south Louisiana. With the limit signs posted, I've bought 20 boxes at a time, went outside came back in bought 20 more.

It's hit or miss in central Arkansas and the stores generally seem to have higher stock levels than they did in the past.

I saw 250 round boxes of remmington 9($59), 40($67), 45($79) yesterday. Didn't check for a limit or grains but that's a pretty good price compared to a lot of places.

Still limited to 6 boxes here in Tampa, but the shelves are being stocked more often and the supplies are getting better.

I bought 4 boxes of Federal 9mm yesterday, and noticed the boxes are all smaller than the 1 box I have left from a couple months ago...

This morning in Oklahoma:

Me: How many boxes of those Super X 22 mags do you have down there?

WM clerk: 12. How many do you want?

Me: All of them.

WM clerk: Anything else?

There was never a limit around here. In fact the two guys that work the ammo counter mostly gave me the direct extension to sporting goods and told me to call ahead. They also told me what days and times to call so I can get first dibbs :p

Hamburg WM in Lexington had probably 20 boxes of Federal 9mm 115gr "champion" for $9.47/50rd box. WWB 100rd boxes are $24. I can remember when they were $14.97---
And our Sportsman Whse just reopened.....goody :)

Does Walmart have anything on their website indicating the ammo limit?

Just as an FYI my local Wal-Mart had a very good stock of 9mm & 40 S&W yesterday. Unfortunately I was looking for 38 and .357 of which they had none. Go figure.

I visited a WalMart in Kansas yesterday and they had full stocks of everything except .45 and .380

I went to the local Wally World to score some ammo yesterday, and bought the last three 50-round boxes of Federal 9mm they had. They are still observing the 6-box limit, due to the demand.

I did ask if I could buy six cases, since a case is just a large box. The ammo guy there is a friend and smiled. "You ain't the first one to try that line." ;)

Lots of .40 ammo, though. Not much .38 or .357 or .223.

my walmart lifted the Ammo limit. The super-superwalmart down the street has its shelfs stock full up. The littler Superwalmarts in my town has semmi full shelfs. The little walmarts dont have the Federal 9mm (best deal out there) so I drive 10miles to the big Walmart.

Mine said there was no "system wide" announcement of a lift on the limit.

The guy at the counter said I could buy as much as I wanted though.
