Just what the title says. Looking at Springfield Armory Trophy Match but it's stainless and I'm a Teflon guy. It's cheap enough that I could buy it and get a nice Teflon coat for the price of one of their TRPs. What do ya hear what do ya say?

You can and it's expensive, but it'll work. Eventually it'll wear, chip, and look like shit.

It will also be slippery -- just a note if your base grip surfaces are smooth vice checkered.

There are other sprayed/baked polymer, epoxy, and powder-coat-type finishes. The best are those that are actually bonded to the surface molecules of your pistol (like Ion-Bond).
