Hi,
new to this forum and am considering picking one up locally for 829

I have read the specs and fondled it

what's the word on the street now that these have been out there a while

I would say thats a pretty good deal. I bought another Bushy M4 for $1050.00 that is identical to that so id say get it it.

GT has the Texas DPS for $829 since they are the one selling them to the DPS, ask about the DPS T&E Bushy's in the back for $775ish

Read the threads on BMs and QC issues before you use the gun for serious use. If it's a play gun/plinker don't worry about it till it stops running....

I am leaning towards just having a custom one built for me and just doing it right from the getgo

I have one that was shipped to my FFL from GT, it's a good carbine and functions flawlessly.

The only upgrades that I am going to make to it are:

FA BCG
Extractor spring/o ring upgrades
KAC rail system
Original CAR 4 pos stock
Phantom 5C2 flash suppressor
taller front sight post


Otherwise it has been solid, I bought it in feb and it has performed well on the range and at work.

ask about the DPS T&E Bushy's in the back for $775ish
T&E stands for Test and Evaluation.
Also a little birdy told me that RRA was the only rifle that did not have to retest and won the DPS trial, Bushy had a to be retested don't know the specific component failure. Colt did submit a rifle for testing and was immediately reject. Colt sent the wrong rifle, the Rec for the test was for the M-4 variate they sent like a 20 inch A-2.

after I thought about it, I figured out what T&E meant..

I ended up building something like I wanted over the weekend
