In my flashlight geek, longtime SF user (I have one of the original 6Z's), and somewhat tactical minded opinion this is one of the best new offerings from SF in a long time. It harkens back to one of their more innovative designs and updates it with cutting edge features. The only better thing they could do is make it run on an 18650 battery.

I will be ordering one sight unseen as soon as I get off my butt and call SF.

Dennis.

I have been using SF lights for years and in my opinion there are none that come close to them. I will be ordering one on Friday (Payday).

Excellent review Candle Power Forums- thanks for posting the link.
I picked one up on Friday, cool new packaging and the light is a bit different in finish/design than my old 6Z. I've only had a chance to play with it a little. I did however notice that, when compared to my G2Z with P61L module, the G2Z appears to be a bit brighter. This was with both lights on, pointed at carpet in darkened room with no other light sources on. It may be just the LED tint, not sure, I don't know all the specifics on LED's, maybe someone with more knowledge can explain this for me.
I did take it out to work Sat. night and it is very bright. We did a mock open area search in a rural area with no street lights and it performed well. It also did well with handgun on a building search. I only played with the strobe, haven't used it per se.

The Z2 series of lights are great but don't work for me for CCW. I carry a spare mag and light IWB in a RCS pouch and since the Z2 needs to be carried bezel down it's too fat for me to be comfortable with. I settled on a G2 with a clicky cap and a Q5 head, bezel up.

I keep my Z2 in the center console of my car though.

I'm probably gonna get one from Grant, but could someone
tell me why they couldn't make the strobe activation more
user accessible for real world tactical situation? Three taps, thats
less realistic than the Streamlight TLR-1s (two quick taps) .
I see no mention of a strobe default mode.
Oh well, I'll get it anyway for the 160lumens and spill.

Anyone know if it fits in the SF V70 holder?

The UPS man dropped mine off today. Great price and fast shipping as usual from G&R. Thanks, Grant!

Ive owned mine for several months now, and Im very happy
that I bought it. When I get a green laser for the left side of my
rifle, I will switch the holders so that my Z2s is on a quick disconnect
and can come off easy and be used non mounted very quickly if ever
I need to do so.
