View Full Version : Magpul magazine's
The basic 211 mags go for $14.95 on Magpuls website. Can they be found cheaper elsewhere ?
What's considered a good price and source for Magpuls ?
Do y'all prefer twenty or thirty rounders, any why ?
Other than standard black, which others colors look good on a black rifle ?
Thanks,
D.W.

OD is standard protocol if not going with black:D
Many people like to use different color pmags to denote a particular load or round that goes in that color mag.
I use 20rd. pmags for bench or precision shooters VS. using 30rders. for off hand, drilling/training, etc.

My blue and orange PMAGs come in handy for this.

I just use colored electrical tape.
i use the 30rd ones with the windows but in fde
I use black for m193
FDE for m855
FG for 75 gr. prvi
20rd pmags for my SPR
GI 30 rounders get a mix of the above depending on what I am shooting. Sometimes they have cheap Centurion bulk loads or m193.
dsg arms greens ones cheap. cheaper than dirt has fde cheap. bcm has lancers cheap. dunno if it'll beat Grants price though.

they function the same:confused: oh, that's right, they aren't the latest and greatest. I have no need to snap the dust cover to the bottom, I take them off, throw them in a pile and put them back on before they are stored.
Exactly. The only time I use them is when they are in the safe being stored.

I have 28 30 rd PMags and the only ones that have the dust covers on them are the dozen or so that are still in the original packaging.
I find them pretty much useless.

I don't know if these beat Grant's prices, but these are cheapest I've found barring occassional web clearance specials...$14.20 for non-window and $17.20 with window and free shipping.
C4IGrant, whats the discount code? Thanks

So the only difference in the Pmag M rev. is the ability to snap the cover to the bottom?

They also cleaned up the exterior a little, to aid in the ability to drop free.

it drops free easier from tight magwells, the texture of the mag itself is more coarse and grippy, theres 3 squares on the side instead of 4, in addition to the feed lips cover thing.
Here's a couple of documents that should have most of the answers you are looking for. I hope this helps.
PMAG Product Guide (http://store.magpul.com/downloads/PMAG%20-%20Product%20Guide%20090430_BETA.pdf)
PMAG Newsfeed (http://store.magpul.com/downloads/newsfeed-maglevelpmag.pdf)
You can get pretty good deals on PMags at gunbroker.com if you are buying 10+. Here is an example:
Gun Broker PMags 10 for $129 (http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=171355554)
This may not be the best deal on there. It is just one of the first that popped up.
