Okay, some time ago, the forward section of my M&P's striker broke off. I had the old black striker that's known for breaking. I call S&W, and tell them my issue, and they say they will be shipping me a replacement. It just came in the mail today, and it's the EXACT same model as the one I've already broken. Not the new silver one's with the different machining. It was my understanding that they were shipping the new ones (whatever revision they're now on).
Was I supposed to specify over the phone specifically what model replacement I wanted? Why is S&W even still making the old variants?
I may call again Monday, but I really don't feel like waiting another 2 weeks for them to ship me one, and may just order one on line.
