Major (US Army, retired) Joseph A. Andrzejewski, U.S.Army Special Forces, died unexpectedly on May 21, 2010 at the age of 54. A resident of Marlton, NJ he leaves his wife of 24 years, Gillian and son Dylan.

His military service began in 1978 when he was commissioned from ROTC at Troy State University. In addition to Ranger School and Airborne School he graduated from the Special Forces Qualification Course. Some of his notable accomplishments and positions over 2 decades of service include Chief, Military Free Fall Branch, and Combat Developments Officer at the US Army John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School, Fort Bragg, North Carolina; Commander, Special Forces Operational Detachment- Berlin; Field Office Chief, Special Projects Support Activity, Ft. Bragg; R&D Officer and Section Chief, 1st Special Forces Operational Detachment - Delta; and Program Manager, Joint Special Operations Command.

After retiring, Joe worked as a free-fall projects manager for Para-Flite, and consulted for Eagle Industries.

Interment will take place at Arlington National Cemetery.
