Great match (we shot today aka Sunday). Started shooting at 9:30am and was done just before noon.

My (Robert J) scores:
Master Stock 56.18 (counts for the VA Arms Co Master Team), (1 C hit, the rest I shot clean)
Master Subcompact 68.57 (10 Cs & 2 Ds)
Unlimited 61.01 (2 Ds & 2 Cs)
Competition 59.27 (5 Cs)

A & B hits add zero time, C hits add 1sec, D hits at 3sec and a miss adds 10sec.

Luis G scores are:
Amateur Civilian 63.14 (for VA Arms Co Amateur Civilian Team)
Master Stock 56.09 (for VA Arms Co Master Stock Team)
Master Subcompact 67.47
Competition 59.07

Dan L scores are:
Amateur Civilian 64.89 (for VA Arms Co Amateur Civilian Team)
Master Stock 62.24 (for VA Arms Co Master Team)
Unlimited 65.27

So the two VA Arms Teams scores are:

VA Arms Co Master Stock Team score is 174.51 (Last years 1st place Master Stock team was 194.34, this was 2 USPSA Grandmasters and 1 Master)
VA Arms Co Amateur Civilian Team score is 211.10 (Last years 1st place Civilian Team was 272.38)

I think each of our teams this year probably have taken 1st place. The boss will be proud.

Congratulations GotM4!

Which Glocks did you shoot for the different categories?

Congratulations GotM4!

Which Glocks did you shoot for the different categories?

26 in Master Subcompact, 17 in Competition, Unlimited and Master Stock. I always use the Competition and Unlimited categories as essentially a warm-up!

I used Independence 115gr ammo.

I also shot the 2007 Commonwealth Cup match at Rivanna in Charlottesville, VA but shot like crap (accurately, just too slow). Should have shot more with the G21SF, the 194+ power factor Winchester ammo didn't help any!

I don't reload but probably should to really be competitive in CDP division.

If I shoot the IDPA Natl's in PA this year I'll be shooting SSP-EX division. I shoot factory ammo in that too. I don't feel much of a difference between factory 115gr FMJ ammo and 147gr subsonic 'gamer' reloads. I actually shoot the hotter 115gr a little better (they cycle faster and with less muzzle flip).

The prelims are up for the Waldorf GSSF match. :D
http://www.gssfonline.com/results/2007/2007wmd.pdf

It appears that the VA Arms Co Master Stock Team placed 1st and the VA Arms Co Amateur Civilian Team placed 2nd.

If everything is correct 'The lefty that could' (aka Luis or 'triple L') has won $175 and a Glock.

The lefty beat me by 9/100ths of a second in Master Stock and by 2/10ths of a second in Competition class (I was more ackrit' than lefty was in both, but he still got me for time).

Everyone shot VERY well.

The final scores for Waldorf are up. http://www.gssfonline.com/results/2007/2007wmd.pdf

VA Arms Co MASTER Team took 1st place
VA Arms Co AMATEUR CIVILIAN Team took 2nd place

Per the new 2007 Rules the $100 prize should be upgraded to a pistol since there were 10 Master shooters in Competition class, here's the 2007 rules:
http://www.gssfonline.com/GLOCK%20Report%20Rules2007.pdf

For our Master competitors. For the first time we are opening the “Subcompact” and “Competition” divisions to our Master-class competitors on the same basis as they have been participating in the “MajorSub” category. In all three divisions, we are offering the same prize upgrade scheme as was described above for the Amateurs. That is, if we have 10 Master competitors in one of the divisions, the $100 1st place award will be upgrade to a Pistol. If wehave 15 Master entries, we will add a $100 2nd Place Award. If we have 18 Master entries, we will add a $75 3rd place award.

They didn't put down my friend Todd Sindelar as a Master. He's automatically a Master class shooter in GSSF since he's a Master and Grandmaster in USPSA his membership # is TY28555. Todd makes the 10th Master and in so doing GSSF should upgrade the $100 prize to a Glock.

Here's GSSFs definition of a Master class shooter:

170.50 Definition of “Master”
1. The competitor is a professional shooter.
2. The competitor has won three (3) GLOCK firearms as “high overall” in any division at previous
GSSF matches.
3. The competitor has finished in the top 25 percentile of a non- GSSF major shooting competition.
4. The competitor is classified “master” or above in NRA, PPC, IDPA, ICORE IPSC/USPSA, Cowboy
Action or similar shooting disciplines.
5. The competitor is a member of an armed forces pistol shooting team.
6. The competitor is a member of a (non-GSSF) law enforcement organization-sponsored pistol
shooting team.

UPDATE: GSSF will be changing the prize to a Glock, so that means Luis (Looey) has won 2 Glocks! Congrats dude! Semper Fi! :)

Damn, I wish I'd have noticed a GSSF match was in Waldorf, MD.

M4arc and I used to race motocross in Waldorf years ago and I've always wanted to shoot a GSSF match. What happened to the GSSF match they used to hold at Cavalier in Hanover, VA?

don't you get a timed as a senior???? just kidding.

there is always more pressure when competing against and with your buddies, especially when you work with them in a gun store. i just wish we could have a friendly shooting competition against other gun stores employees.
i think it would be very cool. :D

I don't have all of the details, but a year or so ago, Cavalier had problems with some anti-gun "jerk" that moved in next door. I guess they thought they could get rid of the club. They had some hearings, etc. and the local ordinances or laws were changed to make sure they didn't shoot too early, too late, etc. When we were down there for an IDPA match some time back, I was glad to see a sign on one of the neighbors lawns that indicated they were glad to have the club as a neighbor.

I don't know if they will be scheduling Glock matches there next year or not.

I was in Waldorf as well. Didn't do as good as GotM4's scores, but overall very pleased with the outcome, 34th in AMCIV, 45th in COMP, and 3rd in AMCIV team. The GSSF match that used to be at Cavalier was done in by a combination of the neighbor that was complaining and GSSF wanting more money for holding a match and Cavalier not having enough steel targets andd GSSF not wanting to haul steel targets to matches. Now time to get outa here and get out to Cavalier for IDPA today.

Yeah I thought the new club rule that something like no more than 25 non club members can be at the club at the same time was more of the reason. IIRC this is why they can't hold the Commonwealth Cups match there anymore.

Are you shooting the NC State IDPA match Sept 8th? I'm not shooting the WV State in July.

Not sure of that, could be of the Sunday hours,0900-1500. I won't be shooting any of the big matches, I like to stay at the club level, (not good enough for the big time yet).
