View Full Version : Who can convert a AK-74 barrel into an Ar-15 barrel?

I know through reading the 5.45 thread that Kurt's Kustoms used to offer this service, but unfortunately, Kurt passed away in a motorcycle accident.

Does anyone else offer this service? It should be doable for any shop that works with AR-15 barrels, installing barrel extensions, machining threads, closing up and drill gas ports... but was looking for suggestions.

Several manufactures offer 5.45 barrels and complete uppers... I recommend that you take a look at S&W...

Yeah, I was thinking ADCO or AR15barrels.com, but was hoping to find all my options. ADCO doesn't list barrel extension installation as one of their services, but we'll see

From what I have read you would be better off with adco. The other arf board has no love for the arbarrels guy. Adco is also supposed to be fast turn around. Call them about it and be sure you have a bolt to send with for head spacing.
