hi, can somebody tell me how much torque is used to loosen/tighten the barrel nut please? i've searched and couldn't info. thanks

On a standard barrel nut with alignment for the gas tube I set the initial torque at 35ftlbs then continue to torque until the next notch aligns with the gas tube, taking care to not go over 80ftlbs. Generally this method will place you in this torque range.

For a barrel nut such as the Daniel Defense that has no alignment, I generally set the torque at 65-70ftlbs.
