I figured it was time to buy some new M-Frames so I could mostly retire my old beat up carbon-fiber finished M-Frames. I started looking around and lo and behold, I found some good discounts on closeout M-Frame glasses!

First from BackCountryOutlet:

http://search.backcountryoutlet.com/exec/?mv_session_id=MwBg5DBD&aff=1&search_button.x=0&search_button.y=0&q=m+frame

Next from REI's closeout section:

http://www.rei.com/online/store/ProductDisplay?storeId=8001&catalogId=40000008001&partNumber=737205&cm_mmc=cse_froogle-_-datafeed-_-product-_-na&mr:trackingCode=B62CA687-C707-DC11-8462-001422107090&mr:referralID=NA

Both stores also have other styles of Oakleys at discounted closeout prices for those who want something different.

So if you are out there and you have been wanting to get some good eyepro now would be a good time to get some. The temptation has been too much for me...I have three pairs on the way right now.

:D

I wish I could buy Oakleys but I have a pair of Wiley SG-1's that were issued and still going stong. I had a pair of Romer 2's but some REMF stole them at one of the LSAs. I had the SG-1 out because it was windy and I hate sand it my eyes.

Oh i want to buy another pair of Romer 2's maybe later.

Exactly why I posted this here.

I'm sure a lot of M4C guys could, at the very least, use a spare set of frames.

Besides, if I get you guys to buy up all the remaining closeouts I won't be able to succumb to temptation and buy three more pair.....

What's the verdict on Gen 2 M Frames that came out late 2006?

I have a set of Gen 1 M frames with Gray- Strike, VR28- Strike, and Clear- Sweep lenses.

Half Jackets are GTG also. I tried on the new Radar and Flak Jackets but didn't see value in them (until they're available through the SI program :D )

I know some say that polarized lenses aren't good when looking through optics, but Oakley's version doesn't bother me. I used a set of Gray polarized Half Jackets at a LAV course and had no problem with the "rainbow effect". I really like the VR28 Iridium lens, as you can use it in brighter light than standard VR28 without sacrificing a lot of low-light benefit.

Sierra Trading Post also has some great deals on Oakleys. Just picked up a set of Big Square Wires for $50.

Oh my, this is interesting.

I don't need any more glasses though, just some lenses.
