I poked around, no one seems to be making one. Anyone got a lead on someone making a chrome lined, 14.5", mid-length gas system barrel in a light weight/pencil profile?

Finding a used CMMG is your only bet right now.

CMMG will be tought to find.

Could still take a BCM or DD 16" Middy, and get it cut down (14.7" becomes possible too)

CMMG has them. You just have to call to get one and you can't go wrong with the price.

Poop. I have a class the second week of October that I'd like to run one through - that sounds a little too close for comfort for me... Guess I'll be getting a 16" LW middy.

Then have you considered picking up a 16" Middy Lightweight, and shortening it to 14.7"? This is an extremely handy setup, and wouldn't cost that much extra with ADCO working on it (only route since CMMG stopped making this handy configuration)

Centurion Arms' midlength midweight barrels are looking very good. Maybe not quite as light as you are looking for but my 12.5" is a super shooter!

Daniel Defense said they will have the 14.5" cold hammer forged lightweight mid-length gas barrels out in about 4-6 weeks. I will be getting one of these and a 1.5 BattleComp for sure.

Paul has mentioned that they have 14.5" Middy Lightweights in the works too.

The more I thought about it, the less important 14.5" was (especially since I don't have an SBR lower), so I ordered the 16". I guess if I SBR a lower in the future, I'll get the barrel chopped.
