I've seen a myriad of posts on this forum and others stating Glock 22 doesn't match the durability of a Glock 17 as the former was built on a gun initially designed for 9mm without any significant strengthening of the components.
Following this logic, wouldn't the MP9 have the edge on the MP40 as you now have a 9mm in a gun initially designed for hotter .40 S&W?
