I am on the hunt for a quality ambi charging handle. At Brownells I ran across a new ambi CH that I hadn't seen before:

Taclatch ambi CH (http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/n=y/pid=38915/Product/AR_15_M16_ADVANCED_DESIGN_CHARGING_HANDLE)
Review of the Taclatch (http://www.702shooter.com/nifty-gadgets-and-accessories/the-tac-latch/)

I'm curious if anyone has any familiarity with this new ambi CH, or if you've had a chance to at least inspect one and form an educated opinion of how it stacks up compared to the other ambi CH's out there? I was leaning toward the ACLM until I heard about this one.

Up to now, my leading options have been (in order of preference):

* Armament Dynamics ACLM ambi CH (http://www.militarymorons.com/weapons/ar.access.html#ad)
-
* Badger ambi CH (http://dynamicarmament.com/items/ar-15-m-16-mil-spec-parts/badger-ordance-ambidextrous-charging-handle-detail.htm)

* Rock River ambi CH (http://rockriverarms.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=category.display&category_id=376)

Hello.

Obviously I'm familiar with this CH. ;) Do you have any specific questions I can answer for you about it?

Personally, I like it better than any of the others you mentioned, especially if it's going on a rifle with a scope.

If you've tried the Badger ambi or the ACLM, what do you specifically like about the Tac Latch CH compared to these others? Does it seem more well built/durable? Easier to grab if using your RH? Smoother to operate?

A potential issue for me--just a question at this point--is the larger-than-spec handle on the right side of the Tac Latch CH. The ACLM CH, for example, made it a specific design issue that their handle is totally the same size as Milspec, with the ONLY difference being it is fully ambi. But the Tac Latch has that pretty large "latch" or whatever hanging out there on the right side. Which may make it easier to grab and operate, but may also get in the way. Just curious what you think about the importance of that issue.
