FYI - I'm down to the last five seats available for this class.
Contact me if interested.
Fal, M1a, AR10 - which way do I go???
What is the maximum distance we are firing and what kind of optics is recommended(red-dot or more serious magnification)
Larry Vickers

Max distance will be 200 meters due to range limitations - bring all 3 if you want to try them out as we will cover all 3 guns - FAL would be my first choice
if your optic can go down to 1 or 1.1X then that is OK- if not go with a red dot
see ya there

My suggestion: Ask Templar.
Any updates for this class, the thread has gotten kind of quite lately. Start times or any other information available.
Thanks
Everything is going great.
The class is about 80% full at the moment.
I will post up more info next week.
What guns are you guys bringing to the class?
I am bringing two FAL's, a full size and a para carbine both DSA. Anyone have a good setup for an Aimpoint on the Para. I have the DSA heavy duty scope mount but I have not yet found a good set up to mount the Aimpoint.
Thanks.

Guys
After talking to some guys at this last AK class and really scrubbing the numbers you can probably get by with 500 rds of 30 cal ammo and 150 -200 rds of pistol ammo for the battle rifle class
Keep in mind we have not ran one of these before so we are taking a SWAG put I feel confident that 500 will get it done
I mention this as I know battlerifle ammo is expensive and saving the $$ on an extra 100 rds could make a difference
Be safe

Guys, we've been playing around with the first day class start times and, for the summer months, have settled on noon. This will allow a lot of semi-local (2-300 miles) people to drive in on Saturday AM and save a night in the hotel. It also lets us break less and generally train straight through dinner at 8 PM.
In short, the schedule is as follows:
-Saturday 1200-2000 (12-8PM)
-Sunday 0900-1600 (9-4PM)
Bring something to hydrate with and a folding lawn chair is also recommended.
Sounds good, looking forward to seeing everyone at 1200 on the first.

I would like to do this if it is re-run in 08.
Mabey by then I can afford ammo:D
FYI - I have three open seats for this class.
Please contact me if you are interested in attending.
FYI - My payment reminder email went out today.
I was asked today to pass along this suggestion:
– We will be doing a fair amount of prone shooting during the class. While it’s not listed on the class equipment list a shooting mat, poncho liner, beach towel, etc. might be a good thing to bring to the class. It would help to make things more comfortable. This is not a requirement, just a suggestion.
- I will also be sending out the range directions to everybody again. Please look out for the email tomorrow afternoon.
- I still have 1-2 open seats for the class. If anybody is interested in attending, please contact me.
